Revue européenne des sciences socialesは、1963年発刊の経済思想史・社会思想史専門のジャーナルです。ジュネーヴの出版社Librairie Droz が発行し、もともとはCahiers Vilfredo Paretoという名称でした。私の英語論文が初めて掲載されたジャーナルでもあります。

Revue européenne des sciences sociales is a journal dedicated to the history of economic and social thought, first published in 1963. It is published by Librairie Droz, a Geneva-based publisher, and was originally called Cahiers Vilfredo Pareto. It is also the first journal to publish my English article.

私の初めての英文単著についての最初の書評がこのジャーナルに掲載されたということは、うれしい偶然です。本書が世界中の多くの方々に読んでいただけることを願っています。

It is a happy coincidence that the first review of my first monograph in English was also published in this journal. I hope this book will be read by many people around the world.

ローザンヌ大学への出張　Travel to the University of Lausanne

　2024年2月28日から3月3日までの予定で、ローザンヌ大学のワルラス＝パレート研究所に滞在しています。今回の出張の目的は、自著Léon Walras’s Economic Thought: The General Equilibrium Theory in Historical Perspectiveについての講演、ワルラス文庫の調査、共同研究の打ち合わせです。

私の講演には、研究所の若いスタッフや院生の皆さんがたくさん参加してくれて、活発な議論ができました。さらには名誉教授であるPascal Bridel教授も参加してくださり、大変光栄に思いました。この本は、Bridel教授の著書から大きな影響を受けて、執筆したからです。当日私の討論者を務めてくれたのは、長年の研究仲間であるRoberto Baranzini教授と、新進気鋭の研究者Luca Timponelli氏でした。私の著書を非常に丁寧に読んでいただき、その意義だけでなく問題点まで的確に指摘していただきました。やはりここは世界最高レベルのワルラス研究が行われている所だと改めて思いました。

ローザンヌ大学の現在のキャンパスは、郊外にあり豊かな自然と美しいレマン湖の風景に包まれていますが、旧市街にある元ローザンヌ・アカデミーの校舎にも行ってみました。ワルラスやパレートが教鞭をとった建物で、ワルラスをローザンヌ学派の創立者として讃えるブロンズのメダル（1909）が飾られています。実はここは現在、中学校の校舎になっているので、メダルは平日しか見ることができません。しかも特に案内版があるわけでもなく、場所はわかりにくいです。

この近くにあるリュミーヌ宮で、1909年にワルラス経済学者生活５０周年記念祭が開催されました。リュミーヌ宮は現在、州の博物館の建物が入っていて、一般の観光客も内部を見ることができます。

今回のローザンヌ訪問は、パンデミックが収束してから初めての訪問で、実に4年半ぶりです。研究活動が正常化したことを、とても嬉しく思います。

My book, Léon Walras’s Economic Thought: The General Equilibrium Theory in Historical Perspective, was published today by Routledge (London & New York). You can find the publisher’s page here. It is also available for ordering on Amazon. The copies of the book arrived in my office. I hope that many people will read it.

私の著書　Léon Walras’s Economic Thought ：The General Equilibrium Theory in Historical Perspective（レオン・ワルラスの経済思想: 歴史的視点からの一般均衡理論）が、Routldgeより12月5日に刊行されることが決まりました。詳しくはこちらをご覧ください。Amazonでも予約が開始されました。

　本書は、私のこれまでのワルラス研究の集大成です。1998年に出版した日本語の著書『ワルラスの経済思想』（名古屋大学出版会）とタイトルは似ていますが、内容は全く異なっており、主に2016年以降に発表した論文が元になっています。経済学史にとどまらず、社会科学の様々な分野の研究者や学生さんたちに読んでいただけることを希望しています。

My book, Léon Walras’s Economic Thought: The General Equilibrium Theory in Historical Perspective, will be published by Routledge on December 5th. You can find more information here. Pre-orders are also available on Amazon.

This book is the culmination of my research on Walras. Although the title is similar to my previous book in Japanese, “ワルラスの経済思想” (Nagoya University Press, 1998), the content is completely different and is mainly based on the papers I have published since 2016. I hope it can be read by researchers and students in various fields of social sciences, not just the history of economics.
